Tom Clancy has so far been famous for writing exquisite novels based on military action. Of course, this leads to them being made into numerous video games. Tom Clancy games are published by Ubisoft, the same team responsible for Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed.
The Rainbow Six series has been around for well over 15 years now. The first game was released in August 1998, for the PC, N64, Playstation, and others. Like all other Rainbow Six games, it was centered less around firepower, and more on tactics and stealth.
You could never run around carelessly with a fully automatic rifle and be more successful than when you’re being careful and methodical with one. Rainbow Six Siege was initially unveiled at E3, a large upcoming video game showcase.
The crown went absolutely wild when they saw the intricate gameplay up on the stage. It showed a hostage situation being played out, where the good guys had to plan out an invasion while the bad guys had to guard their hostage.
The rules are set in for this game already. Five players on either team, one team will break in, one will try to fortify. The good guys and bad guys will go head to head in various maps where there may be a hostage situation, a bomb threat, or other situations.
The classes for each team are referred to as operators. There are scheduled to be 20 different operators available at release, but currently only ten have been released. Generally the main difference between them is the special equipment they carry, whether it be breaching charges or heartbeat sensors.
It’s also assumed that they will all carry different weapons. Rainbow Six Siege looks like an in-depth version of Valve’s popular title “Counter Strike: Global Offensive.” The elements of planted bombs and hostages still remain, but there aren’t multiple classes.
Everyone in CSGO is the same, except they can just pick and choose which weapons they want each round. While the gameplay footage has been all multiplayer based, there’s no need to worry.
There is a single player campaign if you don’t have an Internet connection or don’t want to interact with others. If you only want to play with a friend, you can also do a co-op campaign with your buddy, just like in Rainbow Six Vegas.
If you preorder, you will get two really cool prizes. The first one is very simple – a golden weapon skin pack. You can run around with your guns being absurdly obvious as they are made from 24K gold.
The second prize is much better, though. You get two free games – Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2. Those games are absolute classics, and you can get them for free when you preorder Rainbow Six Siege.
